The Role

The Content Manager / Copywriter will be responsible for crafting compelling, brand-aligned copy across all marketing channels, shaping Virgin Bet’s voice in the South African market. This role is central to ensuring consistency in our messaging and tone, from CRM to social media. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative with a passion for sports to deliver high-impact content in a fast-paced environment and make a tangible impact on our brand's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality copy across all marketing channels, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce master copy for promotions and product launches.
  • Interpret creative briefs and translate strategy into engaging and persuasive messaging.
  • Participate in ideation sessions and contribute to the development of creative concepts.
  • Set and uphold internal quality standards for all customer-facing copy, ensuring excellence.
  • Proofread and quality-check all content output to ensure it meets brief requirements.
  • Manage multiple copy audits to ensure consistency in messaging and tone across all channels.
  • Stay informed on industry regulations to ensure all copy is compliant.
  • Work with marketing teams to test and optimize copy performance, using data to refine messaging.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience writing for the sports betting or online gambling industry.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, tone of voice, and content marketing principles.
  • Exceptional proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and proofreading.
