Introduction

HBZ Bank Limited is a leading international bank with over 50 years of consistent growth. In South Africa, we operate several branches nationally with our Head Office positioned at the Umhlanga Arch, Durban, KZN. We are looking for an individual to fulfil a Customer Service role at our Boksburg Branch.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive, check and scan applications for all Payment Streams such as EFT, RTC, RTGS, and Internal transfers.
  • Clear Suspended EFTs.
  • Process EFT Recalls and Disputed Debit orders.
  • Assess and clear Compliance Monitors.
  • Attend to ABSA and Nedbank MQ queries from clients.
  • Receive, check and scan applications for Time Deposits / IIC.
  • Authorize Financial and Non‑Financial Vouchers.
  • Assist customers with managing existing accounts.
  • Resolve customer complaints and provide solutions.
  • Handle Customer queries relating to all General Banking Services and Add‑Value Services, web banking and debit cards.
  • Ensure all records are kept in order as per the Bank's policies.
  • Ensure all activities are completed within timescales and with high degree of accuracy, whilst providing excellent customer service, and adhering to all appropriate processes and procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Be proactive in a wide range of customer enquiries and issues, resolving these or escalating as appropriate.
  • Undertake specific ad‑hoc projects / assignments from time to time as directed by the line manager.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years' banking experience, preferably in a similar position.
