Job description
The Role

The Construction Site Manager will serve as Seriti Green's senior representative on-site, responsible for overseeing, directing, and managing the EPC Contractor to ensure the safe, coordinated, and timely completion of the project.

The Site Manager will assume ownership of the assigned renewable energy project and oversee all site construction activities from Financial Close until Commercial Operation (COD) and the eventual handover to Asset Management. As the Owner's Representative on site, the Site Manager will handle all construction-related aspects of the project. In this capacity, the Site Manager will maintain a balanced, fair, and reasonable approach in dealings with project stakeholders, in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the various contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Seriti Green's on-site representative, leading and managing the fulfillment of the Owner's obligations.
  • Provide safety leadership in all project areas.
  • Ensure timely and within budget construction of the project, including monitoring and reviewing the Contractor's schedule and project controls.
  • Attend and/or lead daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings.
  • Coordinate various stakeholders' interfaces to ensure the project is constructed, commissioned, and completed on time and in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Manage external stakeholder relationships, including landholders, government entities, Eskom, and road infrastructure authorities.
  • Oversee the management of transport route upgrades from port to site.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, budgets, and costs on a monthly basis.
  • Manage project risk and implement mitigation strategies for site works.
  • Handle project communications at all levels.
  • Provide input into the overall project strategy, including contract management review and scheduling.
  • Supervise the site team.
HSE Awareness
  • Ensure a Zero Harm outcome for all site works by providing active safety leadership.
  • Provide oversight of the Principal Contractor's safety focus and effectiveness of their safety system.
  • Report and manage all safety incidents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, project approvals, and contractual requirements.
  • Timely issuance of all contractual and corporate reports.
  • Address and close out issues that may cause delays or increased project risk.
  • Represent Seriti Green at community events and manage community queries and complaints.
  • Manage required Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and delivery inspections, raising and managing quality assurance issues.
  • Conduct necessary walk-down inspections for timely payment certificates under the various contracts.
  • Ensure construction and commissioning documentation is produced, reviewed, and maintained in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Maintain transparency and keep the Project leadership team and Head of Construction informed of developing and ongoing issues.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a Technical qualification with 5-10 years of experience in wind farm infrastructure construction representing either the Owner or EPC Contractor.
  • SACPCMP registration advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a construction site team for an EPC or Owner.
  • Proven Project Management skills in Consulting or Construction Management.
  • Wind farm project delivery experience required.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to navigate complex deal structures.
  • Ability to work with multiple internal and external clients with conflicting interests and priorities.
  • Strong relationship development and management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team, using initiative, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills in a construction environment.

  • Ability to stay focused, driven, and self‑motivated.
  • High ethical standards consistent with Seriti Green's safety, personnel, and community values.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills in English. Fluency in other official South African languages would be advantageous (e.g., Xhosa, Afrikaans).
  • Effective and positive communication at all levels of people and cultures.
  • History of strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Driver's license is essential.
  • Site based position.
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis for extended periods throughout South Africa.

Requirement to be flexible with working hours to accommodate stakeholder availability and travel requirements.
