We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale road and transport infrastructure projects in Durban. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent project management skills, and in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management : Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Site Management : Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Contract Administration : Manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and resolving disputes.
  • Quality Control : Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the project.
  • Stakeholder Management : Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Team Leadership : Lead and manage a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Qualifications : B.Tech Civil Engineering (minimum)
  • Experience : 10+ years of experience in construction management, preferably in road and transport infrastructure projects
  • Certifications : Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) or the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) would be an advantage
