Job description
Job Overview

We're looking for a qualified and proactive Health & Safety Officer to join our growing team. This role is primarily office-based but will require regular travel to various project sites to ensure safety compliance and support teams on the ground.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage company-wide OHS systems and procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain and update OHS files in compliance with Construction Regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of).
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Liaise with site teams, contractors, and clients on safety matters.
Minimum Requirements – Non-Negotiable
  • National Diploma in Safety Management.
  • SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in construction health and safety.
  • Sound knowledge of OHS legislation and construction safety practices.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle (for site visits).
  • Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
