Job description

Join a large and well‑established short term insurance company and utilise your consolidations experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparation and management of external audits across the Group
• Statutory records of all group entities (CIPC)
• Maintaining accounting records and recordkeeping of Group entities
• Preparation of annual financial statements of all Group entities
• Performing consolidation and preparation of consolidated annual financial statements
• Monthly consolidation of entities for group reporting purposes
• Ensure timely and accurate daily cashflow requirements and cashflow reports
• Adhere to timely treasury investment instructions
• Monthly reporting of operating costs
• Compliance with tax legislation and SARS compliance, including PAYE, VAT and Income Tax for Group entities
• Preparation and distribution of monthly management accounts of subsidiary companies
• Preparation of annual budgets for subsidiary companies
• Implement, enforce and adhere to adequate and strong internal financial controls
• Ensure that all corporate compliance within finance environment is adhered to

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Accounting Degree
• Completed SAICA / SAIPA Articles
• Must have strong consolidations experience
• Insurance experience would be an advantage
• SAP experience would be an advantage
• IFRS 17 knowledge and experience would be an advantage
