Job summary

Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to ensure products meet food safety and quality specs. The role focuses on sampling, testing, documentation, and adherence to standards within a confectionery FMCG context.

You will work with raw materials, manage non-conformances, assist with audits, and support QA processes in the warehouse. A background in confectionery quality control and food safety training is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in confectionery (FMCG).
• Experience in quality control, preferably in a warehouse.
• Familiarity with raw materials used in confectionery industry.
• Grade 12 and basic literacy/numeracy.
• Food Safety intermediate course (NQF level 4).

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials for conformity to specs and coordinate tests.
• Maintain detailed quality records and update control reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality procedures.
• Capture weekly age analysis and participate in audits.
• Communicate non-conformances to relevant stakeholders and assist with resolutions.
• Move damaged/expired stock to quarantine and manage related documentation.
