Job summary

STELO in the Northern Cape seeks a Concentrator Process Manager to lead process engineering, metallurgy and production at a major base-metal concentrator. Start-up, ramp-up and stabilisation are critical as the operation aims to meet design intent and production objectives.

You will drive continuous improvement, optimise flowsheets, control strategies and performance reporting, coordinating across maintenance, labs, and operations to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Additional training in mineral processing, process control, operational leadership or continuous improvement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up, ramp-up and stabilisation with operations, maintenance, engineering and commissioning teams.
• Own process performance: throughput, recovery, grade, yield and stability.
• Lead Production to deliver safe, efficient operation in line with the plan.
• Develop and implement a prioritised improvement programme post-stabilisation.
• Lead safety culture and cross-functional collaboration.
