Placements24 is seeking a talented Computer Vision Engineer for our East London, Eastern Cape office. You will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge computer vision algorithms for perception and navigation in autonomous vehicles and robotics.

The role involves working with cameras, LiDAR, and radar data to build environmental models, implementing deep learning solutions, and collaborating across software teams to integrate vision modules into larger systems.

Qualificações

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with specialization in Computer Vision.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision algorithms.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in OpenCV/PCL.

• Hands‑on experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) for computer vision.
• Familiarity with robotics middleware (e.g., ROS) is a plus.
• Experience with sensor fusion techniques.
• Solid understanding of image processing, 3D geometry, and machine learning concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
