Responsibilities
  • Provide robust regulatory compliance advice, guidance, and support by monitoring processes and related controls in accordance with compliance methodology and minimum standards.
  • Deliver against operational and cost targets, prioritise resource allocation, monitor costs, allocate and approve expenditure, and review cost reports.
  • Identify, control, and mitigate potential risks that may lead to increased costs.
  • Build relationships that allow managing expectations, sharing knowledge, and gaining buy‑in.
  • Engage in cross‑functional relationships to obtain and provide work support.
  • Deliver customer experience excellence aligned to organisational values and service standards.
  • Collect and interrogate information and feedback to fully understand customer needs, provide solutions, and keep customers informed of products and services.
  • Provide accurate business intelligence, analyse trends, and improve decision making.
  • Provide regular reports on service delivery against SLAs and customer targets.
  • Gather information to review work progress and support reporting and decision making.
  • Implement, monitor and control business processes according to quality standards, policy, compliance and governance requirements.
  • Ensure development, alignment, mapping and implementation of end‑to‑end processes aligned to the customer journey map.
  • Research, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology and platform enablement.
  • Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes.
  • Monitor customer feedback reports and align processes to maximise efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures.
  • Develop understanding of risks and risk management approaches.
  • Implement and provide input into governance and compliance procedures and identify risks.
  • Educate others and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in specialist risk forums and advise business on best practice for regulatory compliance.
  • Advise on and support stakeholders in the execution of practices relevant to legislation, frameworks, processes, and tools.
  • Provide expert input to committees on compliance matters.
  • Advise on regulation changes and potential impact on the business.
  • Develop and implement compliance related campaigns.
  • Utilise root cause analysis to understand issues, monitor reviews, conduct trend analysis, and determine impact across portfolios.
  • Support Group to ensure regulatory compliance standards are met and risks are mitigated.
  • Provide regulatory support and expertise in risk and control assessments.
  • Support business in applicability of regulation to mitigate risk.
  • Ensure compliance risk is adequately identified and guide business in addressing it.
  • Provide input into business area tactical strategy.
  • Develop and implement an area operational plan aligned to business objectives.
  • Define governance frameworks and ensure good governance practice.
  • Monitor business committees’ adherence to governance requirements.
  • Guide business to ensure policies contain correct content addressing legislative requirements.
  • Influence enhancement of business processes and methodologies.
  • Prevent compliance breaches and reputational risk.
  • Strengthen awareness of compliance status.
  • Promote cross‑cluster engagement to improve efficiencies.
  • Engage stakeholders on compliance risk and control assessment findings.
  • Enable management to make informed decisions and prevent breaches.
  • Ensure stakeholder relationships are effectively managed.
  • Obtain buy‑in for new or enhanced processes that improve stakeholder business functioning.
  • Identify regulatory universe applicable for each business unit.
