A financial services company in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Compliance Advisor to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and governance standards. The role involves monitoring risks, advising stakeholders, and conducting staff training. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 5-8 years of experience in a compliance or risk role. Knowledge of governance controls and compliance reporting is essential.
To consult on and advise the Transactional Services Division regarding relevant domestic and international legislation; including payments related legislation compliance and governance to ensure abidance to relevant codes, regulations and rules thereby minimising risk to and protecting the reputation of Nedbank.
• NQF Level Advanced Diplomas / National 1st Degrees
• Preferred Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (LLB); Bachelor of Commerce in Law; Bachelor of Commerce: Risk Management
• Essential Certifications: Compliance Institute of South Africa (preferred)
• Minimum Experience Level: 5-8 years in a senior compliance / risk / governance role
• Technical / Professional Knowledge: Relevant Governance controls and regulatory knowledge; Corporate Governance & Compliance; Compliance reporting; Archiving Documentation; Policy & Procedural Knowledge
