A bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field is advantageous.

Certification in compliance is a plus.

Purpose of Job

This is a fixed-term contract for 5 months.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for the ongoing administration activities including responsibility for the day-to-day :

  • FICA refreshes and ongoing customer due diligence
  • Maintenance of client contracts database
  • Flow of legal & compliance documents within RisCura Invest
  • Management of registers (e.g. PA trading register)
  • Management of FAIS representatives' documents and registrations
  • Together with the compliance manager, prepare reporting to management and regulators, liaison with internal stakeholders and clients.
Key Competencies, Skills and Attributes
  • Experience in an administrative or support role within the Financial Services Sector.
  • Practical working knowledge of the FAIS Act, FIC Act and Fit and Proper requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with various departments and external bodies.
  • Attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in database management and computer applications.
  • Able to plan for and meet deadlines.
  • Thinks in a structured way and can document processes.
  • Use initiative, be proactive and with problem-solving abilities.
  • Communicates clearly and politely, both verbally and in writing, to obtain information.
  • Able to work independently but also be a team player.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (strong Excel skills preferred).
Monthly / Daily Tasks
  • Process and track compliance with the Fit and Proper requirements of representatives.
  • Assist with the administrative collation and review of documentation for regulatory submissions to the FSCA / FIC.
  • Support the policy review process by managing document versions and circulating drafts for internal sign‑off.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and ensure proper documentation of compliance processes.
  • Manage the filing and tracking of client due diligence documentation in the relevant systems.
  • Maintain accurate and organised logs as required.
  • Handle general administrative tasks and ad‑hoc queries for the compliance and operations teams.
  • Assist with documentation of processes and procedures for the KYC process.
  • Log and keep track of all legal agreements.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly reporting to management, quarterly reporting to Board, submissions to regulators and the external compliance officer.
  • Assist and participate in internal improvement initiatives within the Invest department to ensure continuous business improvement.
  • Weekly and monthly data preparation.
