Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Nanny and Educator in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, to support a child with developmental needs. The role focuses on compassionate care, structured routines, and individualized strategies to foster progress and wellbeing.

You will implement care plans, lead engaging activities, assist with daily living tasks, and communicate closely with the family to ensure a safe, nurturing home environment and consistent development support.

Qualifications

• Prior experience caring for children with special needs.
• Qualification in Early Childhood Development or Special Needs Education is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of child development and behavior support.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• Clean criminal record and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care for a child with special needs.
• Implement individualized education and therapy plans.
• Engage in structured play and developmental activities.
• Assist with daily living skills such as feeding, bathing, dressing.
• Administer medication as prescribed, with training.
• Monitor health and report changes to parents.
• Transport to appointments and activities as needed.
• Maintain daily logs of activities and progress.
