Job summary

Ampath in KwaZulu-Natal, Dundee is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our clinical team. You will be responsible for collecting both blood and non-blood specimens with care and precision, while upholding our standards of quality and patient safety.

We expect 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience, a recognised qualification, and HPCSA/SANC registration. The role involves 40 hours per week over 5 days, with a closing date of 1 September 2026 at 21:00.

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in Phlebotomy or Nursing (Registered Nurse) and current registration with the HPCSA as a Phlebotomy Technician or as a Registered Nurse with SANC.
• 3 - 5 years' experience as a Phlebotomist or related role in a pathology laboratory or hospital setting.
• Strong English communication and comfort with using digital tools to manage patient data.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate documentation and proper sample handling.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards in all procedures.
