Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Mobilization Officer to empower Eastern Cape communities through engagement and participation in development programs. You will connect with residents, assess needs, and mobilize them to take part in initiatives that drive positive change.

The role requires strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, plus experience in community development or social work.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in community development, social work, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of participatory approaches and community mobilization techniques.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse community members.
  • Experience working in the Eastern Cape or similar rural/urban settings is beneficial.
