Job summary

A renewable energy company is seeking a community liaison officer in Cape Town to support the project team and ensure professional relationships with local stakeholders. Responsibilities include monitoring recruitment policies, assisting sub-contractors, and addressing grievances. The ideal candidate must have a Grade 12 qualification, community liaison experience, and reside in the Swellendum area. Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 educational qualification.
• Must have experience in community liaison.
• Candidates must be computer literate.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
• Residency in Swellendum area with a letter from the local councilor is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Goldwind Construction Project Team and the Community Consultant.
• Ensure a professional relationship with stakeholders and community leaders.
• Monitor adherence to labour recruitment and grievance policies.
• Attend off-site project meetings as an observer.
• Recruit labour through the community jobseeker recruitment methodology.
• Assist local SMME proposal responses for sub-contractors.
• Investigate grievances and provide feedback to management.
