Job summary

The Skills Mine is seeking a senior communications professional to plan and deliver strategic communications and reputational programs for a diverse client base. You will drive integrated content across print, digital, website, intranet, and external channels.

Lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, ensure brand consistency, mentor teams, and optimize communications with executives and external agencies. This role is ideal for a results-focused storyteller in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in communications, corporate communications, content marketing, PR, or related environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong editorial and proofreading ability.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with senior executives or professional services firms is advantageous.
  • Experience managing legal directory submissions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver strategic communications projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop integrated communication plans and manage project timelines, resources, milestones, risks, and stakeholder updates.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions to ensure effective collaboration and successful project delivery.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain high-quality written and visual content across print, digital, website, intranet, and other communication channels.
  • Manage the end-to-end development, review, approval, publication, and repurposing of thought leadership and marketing content.
  • Ensure communications and marketing collateral meet brand standards, editorial guidelines, quality expectations, and risk management requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies, suppliers, and other external service providers.
  • Manage agency deliverables, timelines, budgets, and service levels while ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of legal directory and rankings submissions, including requirements, submissions, reviews, approvals, records, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Monitor rankings requirements and market developments, analyse rankings outcomes, and identify opportunities for improved rankings performance.
  • Develop and execute integrated campaigns across digital, social media, PR, website, and internal channels to promote rankings, awards, and recognitions.
  • Measure and evaluate communications and marketing initiatives against defined objectives and KPIs, including content, campaigns, rankings, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging communications practices to identify opportunities for innovation and strengthen the firm's market positioning.
