A beautiful wine estate situated in Stellenbosch is looking for a COMMIS CHEF to help prepare ingredients and provide assistance within the kitchen.

This is a luxury hillside wine estate set amidst stunning vineyards and panoramic mountain views, offering award-winning wines, world-class dining, and a sophisticated art-filled environment. The estate combines exceptional hospitality with immersive experiences, making it a premier destination for wine lovers and discerning travelers alike

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the preparation of all food items according to recipes and standards;
  • Assist with deliveries;
  • Complete daily checks of all mis-en-place to ensure freshness and quality standards;
  • Maintain proper rotation of products;
  • Have knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions;
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils & equipment;
  • Follow kitchen procedures & service standards;
  • Follow all safety & sanitation policies when handling food & beverages.
Qualifications
  • Culinary diploma / Certificate
  • Preferably 1 – 2 years previous experience as a Commis Chef in 5-star restaurants
  • Must be situated in Stellenbosch or the immediate surrounds
  • Availability to work within opening hours
