Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working on commercial vehicles.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Experience with diagnostic software and tools specific to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license; Code 14 license is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on commercial vehicles, including trucks and buses.
• Repair and replace worn or faulty vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and software to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and document all work performed on vehicles.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and workshop procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
