Job summary

An automotive recruitment specialist is seeking a skilled Commercial Vehicle Sales Manager to lead and supervise their sales team in Gauteng, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a track record in commercial vehicle sales management, strong leadership skills, and an extensive industry network. Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the new commercial vehicle sales team to achieve monthly and annual targets
  • Drive business development and deal-making through established industry contacts and networking
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow market share and expand the dealership's commercial vehicle footprint
  • Oversee customer relationship management to ensure excellent client retention and satisfaction
  • Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and present results to senior management
  • Support sales executives in negotiations for high-value deals when required
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and industry regulations
Requirements
  • Proven experience in commercial vehicle sales management, preferably with Scania, Mercedes-Benz, or Volvo Trucks
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in same or similar role as commercial vehicle new sales manager in a dealership environment
  • Strong industry network and ability to leverage relationships to generate new business
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and motivational skills
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset
  • Motor Industry experience ESSENTIAL!!
