Take charge of the commercial operations of a hospitality/lodge environment, ensuring profitability, exceptional guest experiences, and efficient resource management. This role offers the opportunity to combine financial acumen with hands-on lodge management and operational leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or Finance
- 5+ years proven experience in a commercial, lodge, or hospitality management role
- Strong financial management skills (budgeting, GP/COS control, revenue reporting)
- Knowledge of hospitality operations including food & beverage, housekeeping, and guest services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and lodge/property management systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and guest-relations skills
- Ability to maintain professional grooming and presentation standards
Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage budgets, GP, and COS to maximize profitability.
- Monitor revenue streams across lodge operations including accommodation, F&B, and activities.
- Achieve commercial and sales targets set by management.
- Hospitality & Guest Experience
- Maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction and service delivery.
- Oversee guest-facing operations ensuring professionalism and a welcoming environment.
- Ensure hygiene, grooming, and staff presentation standards are upheld.
- Operations & Stock Control
- Oversee stock management, food cost controls, and wastage reduction.
- Liaise with suppliers and manage procurement to maintain cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with hospitality standards and operating systems.
- Team & Performance
- Lead, train, and motivate staff across departments to achieve KPAs.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure operational alignment with company objectives.
- Foster a positive, service-driven culture within the lodge.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Compile financial, operational, and guest satisfaction reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality industry regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement in lodge operations and guest services.
