Placements24 is actively seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney for a completely remote role in South Africa. The successful candidate will handle complex commercial disputes, provide strategic advice to the business, and represent the company in court, mediations, and arbitrations from anywhere in SA.

The role focuses on Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, and requires an admitted SA attorney with at least 6 years of dedicated commercial litigation experience, strong research and advocacy skills,

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 6 years of dedicated commercial litigation experience.
• Proven track record of successfully handling complex commercial disputes.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of procedural rules and evidence law.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-litigation strategy to trial and appeals.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and develop persuasive legal arguments.
