Job description

As a frontier partner, we grow through great people, smart tech, and teamwork between humans and AI.We're looking for a Commercial Finance Manager who thrives on turning data into strategic direction.

You will drive commercial insight and financial performance across the business by partnering with key stakeholders in sales, operations, and leadership. This role supports strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, and plays a critical part in shaping the financial direction of the company.

Responsibilities
  • Business Partner Act as a trusted advisor to sales, operations, and executive teams. Provide commercial support for pricing decisions, margin analysis, and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with operational plans.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for KPIs, margin reviews, and sales pipeline. Lead monthly revenue and COGS analysis, including EBITDA impact and covenant compliance. Forecast monthly revenue and COGS based on churn, growth, and new sales. Prepare board packs and contribute to strategic financial planning.
  • Sales Support Calculate and report monthly sales commissions. Maintain and update tools like the NCE calculator. Support commercial decisions with data‑driven insights.
  • Professional Services Reporting Manage WIP revenue recognition, backlog forecasting, and utilisation tracking. Prepare monthly forecasts and board‑level reporting.
  • Audit and Compliance Support audit‑related tasks including accrual samples and invoice and customer documentation. Ensure GDPR and contractual compliance in financial operations.
  • Strategic Projects Contribute to high‑impact initiatives such as refinance projects and process automation. Build and implement financial controls to support ELT decision‑making.
  • Operational Support Support the Billing Manager with the billing run and assist in managing customer queries.
Qualifications
  • Strong command of double‑entry accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Experience with standard accounting software and financial modelling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data validation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across UK and SA teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Demonstrated history of commercial insight and strategic influence.
  • Experience in FP&A, audit support, and business partnering.
  • Exposure to SaaS or managed services environments is advantageous.
  • Professional accounting qualification: CA (SA) or CGMA (completed or in progress).
