This role requires a strategic thinker with over 10 years of commercial experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership position within FMCG or dairy/food manufacturing. You will oversee Sales, Marketing, and Distribution teams while fostering key customer relationships. The position offers a dynamic work environment and a competitive salary package of R80K - R90K CTC.

Duties & Responsibilities

COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE About the Role The Commercial Executive plays a key role on the Executive Team, responsible for setting and executing the company's commercial strategy.

This role oversees the Sales, Marketing, and Distribution teams to deliver exceptional customer value, expand market share, and optimize profitability.

This role is ideal for a results-oriented, strategic thinker who can balance vision and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the company's commercial strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Lead Sales, Marketing, and Distribution to achieve revenue, volume, and gross margin targets.
  • Strengthen relationships with key retail, wholesale, and industrial customers.
  • Identify new market and category opportunities, including exports.
  • Drive brand positioning, marketing campaigns, and product innovation.
  • Oversee efficient, cost-effective distribution and logistics operations.
  • Provide commercial insights to guide executive decision-making and business planning.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, customer-focused commercial team.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree commerce, Marketing, or Business Management (MBA or Postgraduate qualification advantageous).
  • Minimum 10 years' commercial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within FMCG or dairy / food manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in growing sales, managing large accounts, and leading teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of customer dynamics, brand development, and distribution efficiency.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial, and results-driven mindset.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Bachelors degree in Commerce or Business Management or Marketing. At least 10 yeard commercial experience in a similar role.
