Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Engineer to join our team and support the commercial, legal, and operational aspects of our renewable energy projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is eager to apply both technical and business knowledge in a fast-paced and globally focused environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Honours or Master’s degree in Law, Business, Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in contract negotiation techniques and effective communication.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams, coordinate resources, and drive project execution.
- Prior experience or exposure to international project bidding, commercial operations, legal affairs, or engineering services will be an advantage.
- Experience or exposure to drafting and finalising contracts and bidding documents will be an added advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Organise and participate in project bidding: Collaborate with customer-facing teams to complete bidding and follow-up for wind turbines, energy storage, and other products.
- Bid preparation: Responsible for bid organisation, pre-bid risk identification, proposal preparation, and the integration of internal and external resources to develop bidding materials that highlight product line advantages.
- Contract facilitation: Coordinate across departments to conduct contract negotiations for wind turbine, energy storage, and service projects.
- Contract risk management: Identify contract risks, prepare and finalise agreements, and ensure smooth contract execution to support project progress.
- Compliance and risk analysis: Identify and assess risks related to commercial, legal, financial, engineering, logistics, and delivery aspects of projects. Develop mitigation strategies to ensure compliance and enhance project profitability.
- Business process improvement: Summarise international business risks and successful commercial practices, participate in standardising international risk management tools, and support the optimisation of organisational processes such as contract management and bidding management to strengthen frontline business activities.
