SUMMARY

Leading FMCG distributor (cold and ambient products) requires a Cold Chain Manager based at their site in the East Rand of Johannesburg, who will manage the inbound, outbound and returns processes of the freezer warehouse. Reporting to DC Manager.

POSITION INFO : Duties include

• Work comfortably in cold conditions (-20°C to -25°C).
• Open warehouse at 05h00 and load frozen stock into vehicles.
• Record truck temperatures
• Be on standby for freezer maintenance or temperature issues; monitor freezer and fridge temps 24 / 7.
• Conduct and update daily stock counts; investigate and report discrepancies to DC Manager.
• Monthly stocktakes
• Brief and manage pickers to ensure timely, accurate picks and correct staging.
• Minimize and record damages; report non-conformances and submit claims promptly.
• Ensure accurate, timely receiving, returns, replenishment, and stock rotation.
• Maintain daily housekeeping and ensure freezer operates optimally; arrange technicians when needed.
• Manage timekeeping, leave, and PPE for freezer staff; update Health & Safety file.
