Placements24 in East London, Eastern Cape, seeks a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager in planning, execution and close-out of marine and coastal development projects. You will assist with design reviews, contract administration, site supervision and stakeholder coordination.

The role blends site and office work in a hybrid setup, requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least five years' coastal/marine project experience, and offers opportunities for professional development

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 5+ years of project engineering experience, preferably coastal/marine.
• Experience with contract management and administration (FIDIC preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and codes.
• Proficiency in MS Project and CAD software.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Project Manager in developing and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs, specifications, and tender documents.
• Oversee on-site construction activities ensuring quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and propose timely solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and regulators to facilitate project progress.
