Statement of Purpose
Ocean Springs, MS. The Co‑Manager is responsible for hiring, training, and developing store staff.
They assist the Unit Manager in operating the store efficiently to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Sales and Profits: Builds sales by promoting customer satisfaction.
- Manages costs through monitoring crew prep, production, and procedures.
- Tracks waste levels and monitors crew procedures, communicates sales and profit issues to the Unit Manager.
- Assists in executing sales and profit plans.
- Monitors food costs to prevent waste and theft.
- Staffing: Hires, trains, and terminates staff as needed. Uses W.O.T.C. for staffing decisions. Monitors crew turnover and recommends improvements.
- Quality: Monitors product quality through customer interactions and staff performance.
- Service: Ensures efficient service times and customer responsiveness. Trains staff in customer courtesy and feedback solicitation.
- Cleanliness: Trains staff to maintain cleanliness. Follows cleaning schedules and corrects deficiencies.
- Training: Trains staff on new products and procedures. Assists in training new managers and crew.
- Controls: Follows flowcharts and monitors inventory and security. Ensures standards are met during shifts.
- Policies and Procedures: Follows operational and safety policies. Reports accidents and manages operational issues.
- Administration: Performs administrative duties and schedules staff.
- Maintenance: Follows maintenance programs and reports issues.
- Employee Relations: Manages performance and retention strategies. Follows grievance procedures and mentors staff.
- Performance Management: Addresses performance issues and conducts reviews.
Employment Standards & Qualifications
- Knowledge: Wendy’s systems, policies, supervisory and interviewing practices, crew training.
- Education: College degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year in restaurant operations.
- Other: Standing for long periods, meeting all subordinate position requirements, valid driver’s license, physical inspections, lifting up to 50 lbs, working in hot/cold environments.
