Overview
Space Time Ads is a venture poised to redefine the Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising landscape. Our white‑label SaaS solution empowers media owners, agencies, and brands to seamlessly manage, sell, and optimise their digital inventory. We are seeking a dedicated Co‑Founder to build and own the entire commercial engine as we launch our critical pilot phase in Johannesburg.
Opportunity: Own the Commercial & Operational Success
This role is the definitive Chief Operating Officer (COO) partnership defined by three non‑negotiable pillars: venture leadership & ownership, commercialization & growth, and full‑time commitment.
Key Responsibilities – COO Mandate
Your mandate is to lead all aspects of commercial success, balancing strategic leadership with intense, hands‑on execution.
Pillar 1: Venture Leadership & Strategy
- Co‑create the overall business plan, funding strategy, and long‑term market expansion roadmap.
- Design and implement the full Go‑to‑Market (GTM) strategy, pricing models, partnership agreements, and sales playbook from scratch.
- Participate in future fundraising efforts, presenting the commercial traction and growth narrative to potential investors.
- Instill a high‑performance, ownership‑driven, and "out‑of‑the‑box" commercial culture.
- Build relationships with customers (white‑label or inbound), manage orders, and communicate feedback with the development team.
Pillar 2: Commercialization & Execution
- Drive full‑cycle sales—prospecting, demonstration, negotiation, closing—to secure initial lighthouse customers in the Johannesburg pilot region.
- Leverage automation tools (e.g., n8n) and APIs to create scalable, non‑traditional methods for lead generation, qualification, and pipeline management.
- Establish a robust feedback loop and act as the definitive voice of the customer to ensure product development is market‑aligned.
- Identify and secure key white‑label and media partnerships critical for rapid scale.
Co‑Founder Profile
- Proven B2B commercial success, ideally in SaaS or high‑growth tech.
- Strong experience or significant knowledge of AdTech, Media, or Marketing Technology.
- Demonstrable ability to integrate technology (APIs, automation tools) into the sales process.
- Out‑of‑the‑box thinker, highly energetic, comfortable with ambiguity and risk.
- Prepared for a full‑time commitment to the venture.
- Based in Johannesburg, valid driver’s licence, reliable personal transport.
Highly Desired Experience (Accelerants)
- White‑label SaaS experience selling platform solutions to other businesses.
- Prior exposure to the Out‑of‑Home or Digital‑Out‑of‑Home advertising landscape.
Compensation & Partnership
- Equity: The primary compensation will be a meaningful equity stake in the venture, subject to a vesting schedule and partnership agreement.
- Adviser review of the final partnership and compensation agreement.
