Job summary

A leading manufacturing company is looking for a dedicated Rolling and Bending Machine Operator in Potchefstroom. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining various machines and ensuring product quality. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience in using roll and bending machines and an Engineering qualification. This position offers an immediate start with a closing date of applications on 31 October 2025.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years working experience with roll, bend, and cutting machines.
• Residing around Potchefstroom is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate roll machine, bending machine, and guillotine cutter machine.
• Measure dimensions of sheet metal or material to check for quality defects.
• Interpret cutting, rolling, and bending drawings for set-up specifications.
• Adjust machine/set-up according to drawing instructions.
• Conduct regular maintenance on the machinery.

Skills

Knowledge of workshop practices

Job Description

• set-up, operate roll machine, bending machine and guillotine cutter machine.
• measure dimensions of sheet metal or material to be rolled/bend/cut and check for quality defects.
• interpret cutting, rolling and bending drawings to determine set-up specifications, work sequence and product dimensions.
• adjust machine and/or set-up according to drawing instructions.
• measure dimensions of completed products to verify conformance to specifications before sending them to the next fabrication process.
• conduct regular maintenance on the machinery and ensure proper functioning.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/N4 Engineering Qualifications or equivalent
• Draughting qualification an added advantage
• Residing around Potchefstroom is an added advantage.
• 2-3 years working experience with the roll, bend and cutting machines.
