Job summary

Together Staffing group is seeking a Cloud Data Platform Support Engineer for a South Africa-based role with a remote work model. The candidate should have 3+ years in cloud support/engineering, Azure data platforms, and strong SQL/Python/Spark skills.

Experience with monitoring tools, incident management, and automation is required, with advantageous exposure to Databricks, Synapse, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud support engineering, cloud operations, or data engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud data platforms (data warehouses, pipelines, distributed compute).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues using SQL, T-SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Experience with cloud-native monitoring and observability tools.
• Understanding of incident management practices (escalation, RCA, prevention).
• Experience building automation with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Ability to develop dashboards, alerts, and monitoring frameworks.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Synapse, Spark, Kubernetes, or Fabric (advantageous).
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Azure certifications or cloud certifications beneficial.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines advantageous.
