Job summary

Tsebo Solutions Group is seeking a seasoned Close Protection Officer in Lephalale to provide professional security services for principals, executives and VIPs. You will conduct risk assessments, plan routes, and protect clients during travel, meetings and events.

You will work with law enforcement and emergency services as needed and maintain strict confidentiality. The role requires PSIRA Grade A registration, firearm competency, and willingness to travel, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum three to five years in Close Protection or VIP protection.
• PSIRA Grade A registration is required.
• Physically fit and medically capable of performing operational duties.
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide close protection and personal security services to principals, executives, and VIPs.
• Ensure safety through proactive threat awareness and risk mitigation.
• Conduct route planning, reconnaissance, and security assessments prior to movements and events.
• Escort and protect principals during travel, meetings, site visits, and public appearances.
• Perform defensive and protective driving duties when required.
• Carry and utilize firearms in accordance with law and company procedures.
• Maintain continuous situational awareness to identify and respond to threats.
• Conduct access control, screening, and security checks at venues and locations.
• Liaise with clients, management, law enforcement, and emergency services as needed.
• Prepare and submit occurrence books, incident reports, risk assessments, and daily activity reports.
• Ensure equipment and firearms are serviceable and compliant.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and crisis situations.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding principals and operations.
• Adhere to all company and client requirements including PSIRA and safety standards.
• Attend training, assessments, firearm re-certifications, and briefings.
