Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
• Post-basic qualification supports advanced practice in nursing.
• Extensive knowledge of general and specialized nursing care.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary health team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement advanced nursing care in the unit according to standards.
• Coordinate patient care within the multi-disciplinary team.
• Communicate with families and health professionals to ensure optimal care.
• Document patient status, care plans and outcomes accurately.
• Conduct rounds with physicians to review patient conditions and adjust plans.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment and participate in ongoing staff development.
