Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa Corporate Office is seeking a Clinical Coder to ensure high-quality clinical data with integrity for Clinical and Financial Management. The role involves procedural and diagnostic coding, adherence to coding standards, and collaboration with Coding Centre leadership.

The ideal candidate holds a Clinical Coding Qualification and demonstrates solid experience in ICD-10 coding, MOUs with Mediclinic coding standards, and proficiency in related systems.

Qualifications

• Clinical coding knowledge of ICD-10, CSSA and SADA rules and guidelines and the ability to apply within the workplace.
• Relevant coding systems (e.g. ICD-10 books; Latest CCSA coding books; clinical coding system (Encoder); South African Coding Master Industry Table (MIT),and Patient Administrative system.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of Professional conduct
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Conduct diagnostic coding that adheres to coding rules and convention, standards and guidelines
