Job description

OverviewSummary : Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

Conducts intake on patients, records vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height), and completes patient health history in the electronic medical record.

Demonstrates good decision making, knowledge of anatomy, and proficiency in medical terminology.

Must be able to multitask.

May be required to draw and collect blood samples for patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.

May be exposed to bodily fluids during patient care.

Must be friendly, professional, and able to maintain a fast pace during clinic hours.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience / Training: Completion of a medical assistant program preferred. Previous medical assistant experience preferred. Certification / Licensure: American Heart Association, BLS. Physical working conditions: May be exposed to a variety of healthcare settings, including clinical, office or maintenance environments. This job will be authorized.
