An environmental foundation in Johannesburg is seeking a Climate Evidence Network Manager to enhance evidence use in climate decision-making. The Climate Evidence Network Manager will build, coordinate and support the What Works Climate Solutions Network, as well as other climate communities of practice. Founded in May 2024, the WWCS-Network serves as a forum for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration. The Network aims to enhance the use of high-quality evidence in climate decision‑making by:
This is a fixed term role - running for approx. 2 years. We are open to Full Time or Part Time working hours.
We are looking for someone with existing and growing networks within climate communities and decision makers, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. You have strong communication skills in English with bilingual French highly desirable. You are ideally based in Africa.
You will be experienced in:
Excitingly for this role, you will also be building towards the next Summit in late 2026/early 2027. This will involve
A degree in an environmentally focused field, and an advanced degree (masters, PhD or similar) related to the production and/or use of evidence would be an advantage.
You will be able to travel freely and frequently across Africa. Travel to Europe will be required on an annual or semi-annual basis.
