Introduction

The purpose of this role is to add skills and capacity to the Clients Fashion team to better service key clients in form of solution conceptualisation, modelling, design, and implementation of client focused distribution solutions. Furthermore, to provide project coordination, project management, commercial modelling, solution implementation, solution stabilisation and continuous improvement support.

Duties & Responsibilities

Providing the business with data-driven insights, obtained through both standard reports and ad-hoc analyses. It requires the establishment of standard dashboards and reports to enable the business to monitor and improve performance across various departments.

  • The role supports commercial, operational, and financial decision-making through advanced analytical modelling, using large sets of data.
  • The secondary focus of the role includes ad-hoc design and optimization projects, as well as assistance with costings and solution design for new business initiatives.
OBJECTIVES
  • Improve resource utilisation and associated costs through analytical insights.
  • Drawing clear conclusions through data analysis.
  • Support operational, commercial, and financial decisions.
  • Identify issues and trends and discuss with the responsible managers.
  • Properly designed and costed solutions using appropriate fleet and network design modelling.
  • Driving "cost to serve" optimisation by principals, regions and service levels and network partners.
  • Identifying and driving continuous improvement projects with key stakeholders in the business.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Honours Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain management.
  • Minimum 2 years data analytics experience in an integrated logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Advanced Excel modelling and analytical skills.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI.
  • Experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python or R.
  • Network modelling (either using Advanced modelling software or advanced Excel models).
  • Trained and experienced in Cost to Serve modelling and analytics.
  • Very strong data management and database usage skills.
  • Experience in structured ongoing continuous improvement function – diagnostics, value identification, solution generation, value extraction.
  • Experience in Sales and Operations planning will be advantageous.
  • Ability to translate quantitative outputs into a well-structured presentation format.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
