Job summary

A logistics company in Durban North is seeking a client liaison to manage shipping requirements for allocated clients. The role requires proactive communication with clients regarding shipment events, ensuring all client needs are met. Responsibilities include managing international client administration, updating rate proposals, and communicating effectively. Prior experience in logistics or shipping is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with client continuously and proactively regarding shipment events.
• Attempt to seek extended business from existing clients and referrals.
• Monitor daily closer to ready date to ensure cargo collected on ready date.
• Cross communicate all info to ensure delegated work is executed.
• Manage client administration on an international level.
• Update rate proposals and SOPs for existing clients.
• Communicate sell rates to clients.
• Follow up NAC with Trade Lane and communicate in writing to clients.
• Complete clearing or export instructions in full.
• Develop and provide clients with monthly/quarterly KPIs.
• Secure extension business from existing accounts.

Main Purpose :

Client liaison and responsibility to manage clients shipping requirements for the clients that has been allocated to your portfolio. Ensure that all clients’ needs are met.

Key Responsibility Areas :

• Liaise with client continuously and in a proactive manner regarding shipment events
• Attempt to seek extended business from existing clients and referrals
• Monitor daily closer to ready date as to ensure cargo collected on ready date
• All info needs to be cross communicated to this person to ensure delegated work had been executed
• Manage client administration on an international level e. dispatch routing orders and arrange inspections
• Rate Proposal and SOP’s updates for existing clients
• Communicating Sell rates to Clients
• NAC must be followed up with Trade Lane and communicated in writing to Clients
• Ensure clearing instructions or export instructions are completed in full
• Develop and provide clients according to the monthly / quarterly KPIs
• Secure extension business from existing accounts
