Client Relationship Officer required in Cape Town.
Excellent opportunity for a Client Relationship Officer to join a high-performing Client Management team.
This role is central to delivering a consistent, exceptional client experience across a portfolio of institutional clients.
You’ll act as the main point of contact for operational and service matters, ensuring smooth execution, issue resolution and ongoing engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for client queries and service requests, building strong, trusted relationships.
- Proactively identify client needs and recommend improvements that enhance overall service delivery.
- Manage all client queries through the case management system, ensuring SLA compliance, accurate tracking and timely resolution.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to resolve complex issues and contribute to continuous improvements to case workflows and processes.
- Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Maintain accurate client data and interaction logs in CRM systems.
- Support client audits, prepare bespoke reporting, and manage fee invoicing alongside finance.
- Assist with preparation for client review meetings and, over time, take ownership of hosting service reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams across Operations, Portfolio Management, Sales, Compliance and Reporting to ensure seamless delivery.
- Contribute to process improvements, digital transformation initiatives and risk management activities.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Investments, Commerce, Accounting or similar.
- 3–5 years’ experience in client services, relationship management or a related operational role.
- Strong understanding of asset management, investment strategies and risk management.
- Working knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics 365), reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) and platforms such as Charles River or Hiport is advantageous.
