Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa is seeking a detail‑oriented professional to manage client engagement and administrative processing within financial services. The role focuses on resolving queries, onboarding clients, and ensuring compliance with AML/FICA/FAIS.

You will collaborate with Compliance, Risk and Operations to deliver accurate, timely service and support offshore sales activities, while maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• This role functions as a subject matter expert in client services/administration/product/process.
• Support the Offshore Sales Specialist function to grow and retain market share; enhance customer experience and retention.
• Act as escalation point and liaise with internal stakeholders for resolution and completion.
• Possibly lead major projects or deliver within the division or business unit.
• Coach Specialist staff if required.
• Advise on system enhancements and testing; ensure first time resolution of client queries.
• Handle all client instructions, queries or complaints timely and accurately.
• Oversee administration for client onboarding and client disbursements.
• Ensure service delivery to clients/intermediaries aligns with business practice.
• Facilitate problem solving across organizational boundaries.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk and Operations on remediation activities (AML/FATCA/CRS).
• Strict adherence to regulatory requirements (FICA, FAIS).
• Utilize product knowledge to finalize client instructions end-to-end.

Job Description

This role utilises expert knowledge in the specific fields of administration / product / process to resolve technical and complex problems, usually in support of administrative queries/issues. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.

Responsibilities

Client Engagement Delivery

• This role functions as a subject matter expert in a specific field of client services / administration / product / process.
• Responsible to support and enable the Offshore Sales Specialist function to grow and retain market share; to enhance the customer experience; to retain the customer.
• Often acts as a point of escalation and liaises with internal stakeholders for resolution and to completion.
• Could act as an expert resource on major projects or could be accountable for the delivery of projects within the division or BU.
• May act as a coach for Specialist staff (if required).
• Often consulted for and advises on system enhancements and testing.
• Ensures first time resolution of all client queries received.
• Deals with all client instructions, queries, or complaints timeously and accurately.
• Responsible for all administration functions around client onboarding and client disbursements.
• Responsible for ensuring that service delivery to clients/intermediaries remains within business practice.
• Facilitates problem solution across organisational boundaries.
• Work closely with Compliance, Risk and Operations to ensure delivery and execution of remediation activities (AML/FATCA/CRS).
• Strict adherence to regulatory requirements (FICA, FAIS).
• Uses knowledge of products to secure an end-to-end finalisation of client instructions, queries, or complaints.

Qualifications And Experience Required

• Matric essential.
• Tertiary qualification advantageous.
• Old Mutual International product and process knowledge advantageous.
• At least 3 years’ experience in financial services in a client engagement and technical processing/administration role.
• International Business and offshore investments knowledge advantageous.
• The successful candidate is a highly structured individual, and is able to plan appropriately for short-, mid- and long-term activities.
• The successful candidate is also agile in being able to prioritise multiple and meet critical deadlines.
• The successful candidate is an individual who is determined to drive things through to completion in a deliberate manner.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the various entity structures and their requirements.
