Crossroads Adult Care Facility – Full Time

Shift: 2nd shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm | Rate of Pay: $17.00 per hour

The Rescue Mission is seeking a Full Time Client Care Specialist to work Thursdays through Mondays or Sundays through Thursdays 2:30pm – 11:00pm (with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off) for its Crossroads facility which is a supportive residence for men with mental, physical, or developmental disabilities. In this position, the client care specialist will oversee dispensing medications to the residents as well as assisting the residents keep a safe and clean environment. The client care specialist maintains a safe and supportive environment for clients, utilizing the resources of the Rescue Mission to ensure a healthy and pleasant stay and provide an environment of positive change.

Additional Duties:

This position develops rapport with clients and provides support, encouragement, and motivation towards building and/or maintaining independence while maintaining appropriate professional employee-client boundaries at all times. It participates as a team player to provide the best possible care for every client who enters Rescue Mission facilities by completing rounds, monitoring facilities, facilitating drug and breathalyzer tests, giving out personal care items and bedding, enforcing guidelines as appropriate and referring clients to appropriate internal services; does so while treating clients with respect and dignity. Shares pertinent client information via documentation, participation in meetings, and on an individual basis as needed, maintaining confidentiality as appropriate.

Requirements & Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates degree in human services or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience working with homeless, addicted and/or mentally ill clients desired.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as required by the Dept. of Health.
  • Must comply with CDC guidelines regarding Covid-19, including but not limited to wearing facial masks when working.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Manages time efficiently.

Rate of Pay:

Starting Pay rate - $17 per hour
2nd Shift Differential (2:30pm – 11:00pm) – Additional $1.00 per hour

Available Shifts:

  • Thursdays - Mondays: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
  • Sundays - Thursdays: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
