Our client is seeking a results-driven Cleaning Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all cleaning and sanitation operations for their extensive facilities in Pretoria . This critical role involves strategic planning, team leadership, budget management, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality cleaning services. You will be responsible for implementing best practices, managing a diverse team, and ensuring full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record in managing large-scale cleaning operations to maintain an impeccable and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for all cleaning and sanitation operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage, train, and motivate a large team of cleaning staff and supervisors, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Oversee the procurement and management of cleaning supplies, equipment, and technology, ensuring optimal utilization and inventory control.
• Establish and enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
• Develop and manage the operational budget for the cleaning department, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Liaise with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure cleaning services meet the needs of the entire organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, with a significant focus on cleaning and sanitation services.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large teams and complex operational budgets.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning technologies, chemical safety, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HACCP, OSHA equivalents).
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective cleaning strategies and quality control systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
