Job summary

Icebolethu Group is seeking X5 Cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across our branches. Based in KwaZulu-Natal, you will help create a dignified, hygienic environment for staff, clients and visitors.

Responsibilities include cleaning offices, kitchens, lavatories and shared areas; mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper waste handling. You will operate cleaning machinery safely, monitor supplies, and always use PPE while interacting

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
• Training or certification in safety and commercial cleaning/gardening best practices will be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cleaning Icebolethu premises including offices, kitchens, lavatories, and communal areas.
• Mop tiled floors, vacuum carpets, and wipe down surfaces such as tables, worktops, and appliances.
• Empty and sanitize waste bins, ensuring the correct handling of recyclable and general waste.
• Safely operate cleaning machinery according to manufacturer specifications.
• Clean and store equipment in proper locations after use.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning consumables and report replenishment needs to the supervisor.
• Uphold hygiene standards aligned with Icebolethu’s quality expectations and safety protocols.
• Ensure appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Display appropriate signage when cleaning wet areas to prevent accidents.
• Maintain professional conduct when interacting with staff and visitors, responding promptly to urgent cleaning needs.

• Knowledge of the correct handling and storage of industrial cleaning machinery and equipment.
