Job summary

A leading financial services group in Cape Town is seeking an experienced claims assessor to evaluate and process insurance claims. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in claims insurance and investigations, particularly in motor claims. Candidates must hold a Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) and a completed tertiary qualification (NQF 5 or 6). A commitment to transformation and diversity is integral to our workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years short-term claims insurance experience.
• Minimum 3 years claims investigations experience, specifically Motor Claims.
• Experience in personal lines and commercial products essential.
• Solid understanding of claims systems and procedures.

What will you do?

Responsible for the assessing and processing of claims. May supervise other Non-Motor Assessors. May also investigate repair and settlement of claims.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

Minimum Qualification required

• Grade 12 / Standard 10 / National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
• Completed tertiary qualification NQF 5 or NQF 6

Minimum Experience required

• minimum 3 years short-term claims insurance experience
• minimum 3 years claims investigations experience, more specifically Motor Claims
• experience in personal lines and commercial products essential
• solid understanding of claims systems and claims procedures: inclusive of claims, investigations and legal department processes
