An established client is seeking a proactive Claims Clerk to join their Withdrawal Claims Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills and experience in claims or contributions processing to play a key role in a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a deadline-driven environment communicates with confidence and takes pride in providing outstanding service to members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and administer withdrawal and retrenchment claims
  • Assess documentation to ensure it aligns with internal standards and procedures
  • Communicate professionally with members and employers via mail email or phone
  • Calculate and verify benefits payable
  • Submit statistical reports accurately and on time
  • Address queries relating to benefits and the Pension Funds Act
  • Prepare and process payments on Workflow and mainframe systems
  • Prioritise tasks and analyse data to draw logical conclusions
  • Meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure
Requirements
  • Grade 12 with a proven record of good attendance and reliability
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative environment
  • Previous contributions or claims processing experience is advantageous
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Well-organised with high attention to detail
  • Intermediate MS Office / PC proficiency
  • Skilled in problem-solving and adaptable to change
  • Customer-focused with a professional and courteous approach
