Exciting career opportunity for a Claims Clerk within the insurance sector in the Randburg Area

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric - Grade 12
  • Proficient on MS Office Suite & related Insurance systems
  • Previous relevant experience and basic understanding of insurance policies and procedures is beneficial
  • Must be bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
Responsibilities
  • Handle the initial stages of claim processing including receiving, sorting and documenting incoming claim forms and related documents
  • Contact policyholders, agents and other involved parties to gather missing information, clarify details and verify claim authenticity
  • Enter, retrieve and manage claims information using computer systems and maintain organized updated claim files
  • Review claims for accuracy and completeness ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations and insurance policy details
  • Answer inquiries from policyholders or their representatives regarding claim status and policy coverage
  • Perform general clerical duties such as filing, copying and distributing documents to appropriate personnel
  • Calculate the amount of a claim and process payments or transmit claims for further investigation or adjudication
