Job summary

A leading safety management company seeks a SHE Officer in Klerksdorp to identify workplace hazards and implement safety measures. The ideal candidate has a National Diploma in Health and Safety, 5+ years in a similar role, and is registered with SACPCMP. This full-time position requires strong risk management skills and knowledge of construction processes. Renewable energy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 Years of experience within a SHE Officer position in Construction.
• SAMTRAC NEBOSCH or equivalent certification required.
• Knowledge of the National Environmental Act; Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Essence of the Job

The SHE officer identifies reviews and evaluates hazards within the work environment; implements the controls and the preventive measures; and prevents injuries resulting from environmental factors.

Qualifications

• National Diploma Health and Safety or equivalent
• Registered with SACPCMP as a Health and Safety Officer (Proof of Registration is required).
• 5 Years of experience within a SHE Officer position within Construction / a Senior Safety Candidate officer close to qualifying as a Safety officer.
• SAMTRAC NEBOSCH or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of the National Environmental Act; Occupational Health and Safety Act National Traffic Act.
• Municipal by-laws and company policies and procedures that will need to be followed.
• Knowledge of construction processes equipment materials and products.
• Understanding and implementing ISO and OHSAS 18001.
• Driver's License essential.
• Renewable energy experience preferred.
