Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Civil Engineer with a focus on Structural and Building Services to join a Queenstown-based team in the Eastern Cape region. You will design, analyse, and supervise foundations and superstructures, ensuring structural integrity and serviceability across projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, ECSA Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer, and at least 5 years' experience with Prokon, SAP2000 and CAD.

Qualifications

• Pr Eng or Candidate Engineer with ECSA registration preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in structural design and building services engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for foundations, concrete, and steel structures.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations for building projects.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure construction quality and adherence to design specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to resolve design and construction issues.
• Assess and design site services, including stormwater management and access roads.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, SANS standards, and safety regulations.
