SUMMARY :

Position will be based in Pretoria-East area

This role can be structured as a permanent position or an independent contract based on the candidate's preference.

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with experience in water infrastructure development to join our client’s team. The role involves designing and upgrading community water supply systems, conducting infrastructure assessments, and ensuring compliance with municipal requirements. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with both existing and new infrastructure designs, as many projects require the creation of original blueprints before upgrades and extensions can proceed.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or a related field.
  • Professional registration (ECSA)
  • 5+ years of experience in water infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of municipal approval processes and water supply systems.
  • Ability to create, modify, and interpret engineering designs and technical reports.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project inspections and meetings.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Duties are, but not limited to :
  • Assess existing water infrastructure and develop improvement plans.
  • Design and oversee extensions and upgrades to community water supply systems.
  • Prepare reports, ensure quality control, and update designs as necessary.
  • Submit designs to municipalities and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure construction adheres to approved designs.
  • Develop new designs were existing infrastructure lacks documentation.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.
