Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and manage the children’s routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and safe childcare for two young children (ages 4 and 6).
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities and routines to support learning.
• Assist with homework and pre-literacy/numeracy skills for the older child.
• Engage children in creative play, outdoor activities, and educational outings.
• Prepare healthy snacks and light meals for the children.
• Manage children’s daily schedules, including naps, playtime and mealtimes.
• Ensure the children’s environment is safe, tidy, and stimulating.
• Communicate with parents about daily activities and progress.
• Instill good manners, hygiene practices, and positive behavior.
• Transport children to and from preschool/school or activities as needed.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, engaging, and skilled in creating fun learning activities that align with early childhood educational goals. This position is based in a family home in Kimberley and requires a strong commitment to the children's development and well-being.
